AMsoccer Barcelona Tour Day 2

DAY 2: The players again enjoyed a training session at first class facilities with AM coaches before travelling to the famous Nou Camp for a stadium tour of the home of FC Barcelona. The boys then played their first game in the evening against Jupiter FC at their stadium!

The players have breakfast at Hotel Alimara before their morning training session.

The players wait in the hotel garden to find out the plans for day 2.

The younger group return to the Velodrome training centre with Austin and Scott, whilst the older boys train at the Taxonera training centre with Stevie and Lindsay... Carly goes shopping!

Archie and Billy show an excellent attitude to training which helps them get selected to train with FC Barcelona and play for AMsoccer against La Liga Club Espanyol!

Relaxed technical training in the sun!

Giving their "wee" legs a rest on the subway en-route to lunch then the Nou Camp Stadium tour!

AMsoccer players walking down Avenue Diagonal towards the restaurant, Lewis however looks to be heading the other way after eyeing a Spanish senorita...

Ben in the museum at FC Barcelona looking through all the teams in the last 40 years discovering that his Dad never really played for Barcelona!

The boys gather in the main stand as they head outside on the Stadium tour.

The boys spent time in the away changing room where some of the Worlds best players have sat in fear at the thought of the ref knocking on the door and saying those fateful words "okay lads, time to go!"

Stevie felt at home in the changing rooms next to the treatment benches.....

Mes Que Un Club - "More than a Club"

Gavin and Scott pitchside, whilst Dino leans on Messi's Golden Boot!

The first set of games take place where AMsoccer plays against one of the top Barcelona Youth Programmes, Jupiter FC, a great night of action and some wonderful performances which earned recognition at the end of tour awards on day 5.

Jamie, Ben and Lyle captain their respective age-groups in the evening games.

Fantastic facilities in Barcelona providing the perfect environment for the Spanish kids to progress, a million miles away from Scotland... maybe one day!

The players show excellent sportsmanship and conduct themselves very well throughout the tour.

The young players from both countries applaud the crowd for their electrifying support!

The young ones cheer on the older ones from the stand!
